We already knew that The Simpsons was teaming up with Fortnite, but that's not the only destination where enthusiasts can experience the universe of Springfield. The beloved show is also making its way to the popular soccer-driving hybrid, bringing along an in-game car skin that will also be usable in Fortnite. That said, if gamers will actually want to use it is another question, as fans have their hearts set on just one Simpsons car everyone is eager to get behind the wheel of, and this new offering isn't that one.

What Fans Really Want

Although most players would undoubtedly love to compete behind the wheel of Homer's custom creation—the famously flawed car the patriarch built personally in the 1991 installment "the one where he meets Herb"—that's not what's being offered. Not even receiving the massive SUV, the heavy-duty vehicle featured in season 10. Instead, fans will obtain the Simpsons' standard beat-up sedan, which they've been driving since 1989. Even though this particular car has seen better days, it remains an recognizable symbol of the show. For those who analyze Rocket League vehicle dimensions, the Simpson family car uses the same hitbox as the Dominus body type.

More Than Just a Car

But that's not the only customization item from the show coming to the game. This limited-time event will also include a set of challenges to earn additional rewards, all of which are Simpsons-themed. According to a press release, the missions will task players to "achieve a certain number of centers and clears as there are the show's years on air, collect boost pickups as if your GPS is set to the Simpson residence, and travel a specific distance worthy of picking up the ideal pastries!"

While the complete list of earnable items isn't yet disclosed, here is what's been announced so far:

• Blinky antenna topper
• Homer's hedge-themed banner
• Garbage-themed wheels
• 20,000 XP per challenge

If the key art is a reliable guide, it seems players will also receive rims with a television showing The Simpsons' opening credits, Kang and Kodos topper, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and rocket boosts themed to smoldering rubber and Krusty's famous restaurant.

Launch Dates and Crossover Details

This event lines up with the extensive The Simpsons invasion of Fortnite's island, which brings a completely new map of Springfield, in addition to a 30-day Battle Pass. This special Rocket League and Simpsons celebration begins on November 1st and concludes on Nov. 17.
